| aking | 09-23-2015 02:14 PM | eBay Efficiency Ok, so I'm always looking for ways to be efficient in eBay/Paypal land. I have a lot of the basics covered, but wanted to see what big steps others have taken to be more efficient.
GO! :cheer: |

| jakobrockz | 09-23-2015 06:17 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency Not sure if it applies to you but on all of my user accounts on my mac I have it set up that the moment my computer recognizes my iPhone 6 being plugged in, the Photos app opens up. I then quickly upload the photos I need within seconds and drag them to the image cleaner application I have.
Way easier than emailing myself photos then downloading them (which I used to do). |
| meriscope | 09-23-2015 06:38 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency Efficiency becomes critical if more than 5 accounts are managed. What I do is using onenote/gdoc to track everything. I applied GTD(get things done) into account managing... |

Efficient in terms of what exactly? Can you explain further? | Just overall with processing orders. From buying inventory to shipping products. I'm always looking for ways to make things faster if possible. I like to spend less time in from of a computer processing orders and more time going what I love. |

Plus you can only email about 4 at a time. Thanks for the idea!! Unfortunately I dont use my Mac for ebay (wife and kids use it mostly) but I may need to invest in another one. |

Google doc I assume |
| fox20c | 09-25-2015 03:17 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency It is like excel but is stored in the cloud so you can access it from anywhere, a very good tool in my opinion. |
| jakobrockz | 09-25-2015 05:08 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency I switched from Excel files/flash drive to google doc.
Another thing that may help you save a bit of time is having home pages on each user account.
Everytime I open firefox.. whatsmyip.org, google doc, and aspkin forums open up. |

| gonzoman | 09-25-2015 08:21 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency Pictures. Setting up phone with Google images to upload automatically all pictures taken on the phone to your google account then downloading from there.
Another option - digital camera with sd card.
Also I found fire Fox portable much faster than separate Windows accounts, but needs to be more careful. Each of my account opens up with a home page with the person's name of that account. I use goglogo.com for that. I am sure there are other ways.
Hotspot- I noticed that with some phones/carriers you need to turn off and back on the device in order to change ip. I use virgin mobile phone with hotspot feature that changes ip when I switch the hotspot feature off then back on and get a new ip every time. Takes literally 3 seconds. No need to turn off the device. Saves you another two minutes. |
| aking | 09-30-2015 01:52 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency Better yet, I'm trying to figure out how to automate the eBay process.
What if there was a way to automatically send payments to suppliers to order product when inventory is low?
What if there was a way to auto transfer money out of paypal when the balance reaches a certain amount?
Is there a way to auto print labels on dymo printer when items are sold?
Is there a program that can auto update my excel spreadsheet when an item is sold, so I don't have to manually enter information each day? |
| gonzoman | 09-30-2015 01:57 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency I am pretty sure the answers to most of your questions is - no.
Few years ago eBay gave the option to integrate sales to QuickBooks. They took it down after few months |

I do not know if you can change how much is transfered and the duration of the transfers. For example, if I want to transfer $500 from my Paypal every Thursday at 8:00am. I will have to look into this more. |
| yankee | 09-30-2015 02:30 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency Blind printing can be wonderful and when a problem occurs it can be catastrophic.
Batch printing is fast and very efficient but works best when every item has identical shipping requirments such as 1lb priority or 3 once first class etc... |

I wish there was a way that at the end of each day I can open Endicia have it print all labels from todays orders at once. |
| yankee | 09-30-2015 03:30 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency You can for sure.
Its called batch printing. |

| access0ner | 10-09-2015 01:41 AM | Re: eBay Efficiency great topic i ship out very small items and have my own shipping .
i have my own stamps,
and i ship out regular sized envelopes via usps,
i have to add 6 peices of card into each envelope in order for the envelope to actually ship due to the tracking number.
is there anyway i can scale down this process that someone might have in mind?
The real problem is writing all the buyers name/addy on the envelopes...
i don't know what i can uutilize to amke this easier,

| access0ner | 10-09-2015 10:52 AM | Re: eBay Efficiency thanks jakobrockz. i bought a zebra thermal printer but bought a lp2824 instead of the one that needs to be bought. i got it for 20 bucks. its got no use to me anyone intereseted in it? |

Anyone? | There are free tools all over the internet which allow you to print a "postage-less" shipping label. I think that would look a bit more professional than formatting your own in MS Word. But either way is better than hand-writing addresses. You want your buyers to think you are a credible business rather than someone selling out of their garage.. |

It automatically transfers funds at the end of each day. http://s15.postimg.org/4qu5y0caj/ssss.png |

Anyone? |
Just subscribe to the free Selling Manager, and that is one of the features where you can print shipping Labels, all the info is uploaded from your transactions , so it's very easy
Just go to your seller dashboard and on the left you will see a subscription link, click that and than on the next page find Selling Manager and subscribe, it's free |

LUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKY!
haha..
Never even knew this existed. Pretty cool thing to have. I only log into my paypal accounts to withdraw, unless something else comes up. |
| aking | 10-11-2015 09:54 AM | Re: eBay Efficiency I wonder is there is any added risk with using the auto transfer option. |

| access0ner | 10-12-2015 10:24 PM | Re: eBay Efficiency How do youi set up this Daily Settlement Withdrawl? |
| muzzie | 10-13-2015 04:37 AM | Re: eBay Efficiency Here are my 5 cents:
1) For stock : google sheets
2) For accounts : VPS for each acc
This setup allows to control everything from any place, any computer
I am planning to dive even deeper, by RDCin into "control" VPS, and then RDCing into particular VPS for every aacount. |

I access that page by clicking "withdraw funds" on my summary page. |

It makes sense that you withdrew $999 daily so they added that option in there for you. THis option used to be available to everyone you just had to activate it in "god mode" lol jk. But ever since they UI of PayPal changed it's not accessible anymore. |
