Can ebay link through mobile device?
 

Hi everyone

Just wondering if I had ebay & PP app on my phone and it was suspended...
If i have done factory reset on my phone and use new SIM card with different number but will use same device can it be linked?

I used to run multiple eBay accounts with my IPhone and never had any issues clearing browser data / resetting IP. But you have to be able to keep track of the IPs unless you want to risk linking them. Don't use the eBay/PayPal app, stick to the browser.

Keep in mind using your phone is a lot more risky than setting up user accounts on a computer.

I've never tried it myself purely because I've not got accurate info and understanding on how the mobile devices actually work, BUT I've read here that using an app is a big nono? Please somebody confirm or call my bull****.

So I guess it is better/safer to change phone and all done factory restart is not enough? thanks

But if you got new phone new sim card so why it should be linked? it is same as new user??? Or I do not know something? :pout:

Factory reset will work.

Be careful with responding to emails. You click on links etc, you will link all the accounts you have on your phone even if youre in a completely different email account. Ebay will just see that the same user logged in to multiple accounts from one phone.

You can reset the phone 100 times, The Apps already have recorded enough info on your phone to identify it.

Can eb app actually see the phone number of the phone?

The app records all sorts of identifying info from your phone.

When you download the app it tells you exactly what info they have access too.

My advice is to stay away.

wouldnt u be able to downloaod the app delete it redownload it to switch accts and hit airplane mode to reset your ip?

No.

When you have had the APP on your phone before and used it with an eBay/PP before it cannot be reused with any other account without the risk of linking.
