ebay don't do partial refund?
 

I remember a year ago, I was still able to do partial refund through ebay. Just recently had a buyer that took 3 weeks to return a few items for the full refund. He only return 1/3 of it, and through ebay messages, he had agreed to accept a partial refund as well for the returned item. Since the case was already open, I asked ebay to step in to issue 1/3 of the $$$. They ended up closing the case in the buyer favor and issued a full refund. Called them up to appeal but they pretty much told me that they don't offer PARTIAL REFUND, it was suppose to be done through paypal. This was an ebay transaction so why are we suppose to handle it through paypal? I called up paypal and they were also confused....:doh:..so yea... both money and items are gone...

If I recall correctly you can issue a partial refund when the buyer requests a return. You go under returns and should have the option to decline or accept the return... As well as the option to partially refund

Lesson here is don't ever have eBay step in. They will always rule in favor of buyer even when they have no case

not very true and a wrongful ebay decision can be reversed with a phone call.

Yankee, I did called in but the rep refused to reverse the transaction. They said it's now up to the buyer to refund me the money themselves.

Call again I say BUT if they dont like how you handled the dispute then they wont do much.

My comment was specifically about the other members comment that ebay always sides with the buyer. In my experience, ebay almost always sides with the seller(me) but sometimes a wrongful refund or a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ return tracking number(wrong address) etc...will cause ebay to make a wrong initial response and they can be fixed.
