adding tracking onto packages
 

everytime you add a new tracking number to a package does it automatically notify the buyer?

I'm pretty sure it only notifies the buyer when you add the first tracking number, because that is when the order is automatically "marked as shipped" by eBay

Yes it shows as shipped in eBay and Paypal sends you a message that says they have notified the buyer that the item has been shipped.

I have had sellers send me a tracking numb er update, but it came from the seller, not from eBay. It rarely happens, except if the original number was not valid, a mistake. So, my guess is that eBay does NOT automatically send an update. I cannot confirm this, though.

Im curious too. Sometimes I use Ebay to print labels to other places from existing sales. Cheaper postage and easy. Was wondering if the original buyer sees new labels being printed under his sale
