Best way to sell on ebay

I think I finally found a way to sell on ebay without worry about being suspended or limited by paypal. Few months ago I was searching completed listings too see how much my product would sell and I noticed one listing was a classified ad. I check the listing to see whats the point of doing a classified ad and I notice that the ad had 7900 views. So I thought what if I list a classified ad, make a webpage that has google checkout, put a link to my webpage so they can buy from there, and put adsense if they don't want to buy from me. I made my listing a featured listing to gain more attention. The end result was my best move ever. In 30 days I got 16,000 views on my classified ad, I sold out the product I listed and I made $4200 more than I usually do from adsense ads. I netted around $21,000 for the month of December(most of it from adsense). The great thing about is I only had to pay the listing fee, no final value fee and no adwords fee, ebay did the promoting for me:D. Also with classified ad listings, you dont have to accept paypal, you can uncheck paypal when you list. At the time I listed my ebay account was only two days old . I hope this experience will motivate people to find other ways to utilize ebay.

I will definitely check this out!

My new thing lately has been to use the fixed priced listings with Best Offer. Its only 35¢ for a 30 day listing at any start price amount.

Great idea. I never thought much of the classified ads on ebay, but that is a good strategy. I don't know much about ebay ads, but I assume that they allow you to promote outside links?

I know you can't place links or suggest selling anything outside of ebay on listings. This rule does not apply to classifieds?

i thought ebay frown on putting links to website on your listing. i think i tried that a few years ago and got suspended. I'll try it again tho on a new account.

can you post an example of the listing you saw with the ad?

That's my question too. Maybe this rule does not apply to classified ads? Only selling listings.... Does anyone know?

Terrell05 can you comment?

I read the policy about classified ads and there's nothing that says you can't put a link on your ad. I also checked some forums and most of the people that do classified ads said its ok to put a link on your ad, no one has had their listing pulled. I think the reason you can have links on your listing is because with classified ads its all about promoting your item and since there's no bidding or buy it now that means the sell is going to be outside of ebay.

what exactly is meant by adsense?
and would this classified ad strategy work only if you have a website?

Well this "may" have worked previously, but I recently checked out the classified section at ebay and they've basically removed almost every viable category. So, unless your selling witch doctor posions, you may be out of luck. Good idea though...thanks op!;)

adsense - lol - its a way to make money on your site with google ads - you get paid per click or impressions or action......
