Buyer asking for refund 2 months after purchase / Limited Paypal account
 

A buyer is requesting a refund for an item she says is ⊗⊗⊗⊗. She purchased the item 45 days ago. She has not opened a case yet. My Paypal account has been permanently limited since her purchase. (My ebay acct was not suspended however). I do not have enough funds in my Paypal account to refund her. How do I refund her when I do not have enough money in Paypal? What happens if I ignore her?

Decline the request... After 30 days you can decline the request and case just closes...

Her only option at this point is to open a dispute through paypal and since it is limited even if she wins it the only ones who lose are paypal.
Is this account stealth? if it is then this wont have an impact on you. If the account is on your real info then it might become an issue.

Got it. So I can basically ignore her? This account is stealth and doesn't have my real info, except of course, the bank info through Paypal. If she wins a case through PP, will PP try to dip into my bank account to retrieve the funds? I withdrew all funds from the bank account and it is basically empty. Thanks for your replies

Ok, so she has opened up a claim through Paypal. What happens now? I have no money in PP and in the bank.

Nothing. Just ignore it. You cant squeeze blood from a turnip.

Just a reminder, better just close the bank account, since paypal might try to collect funds from the checking account and if there isnt any money left in the bank account, it would get rejected but an overdraft fee is likely to be posted by your bank, which you certainly do not want it to happen.

I would think that deleting the debit instruction would do just fine, that is if the account is being used outside eBay/ Paypal transactions.

Ok. Just to clarify, I won't have any problems down the line RE: the money I owe Paypal because this is a stealth acccount? I closed the bank account today. Is there any way they can find me with the bank info they have from my closed account?
