Re: Declining sales % every year

Amazon is a great platform for major companies, small businesses, and the average everyday seller. You don't have to create fancy listings, all you do is list a very minor detailed description and list your price.

Amazon reviews sick though, 8 years of selling on the same account and I still get 1-3 reviews a year.

For me January usually are pretty slow. Everyone spend a lot of money before xmas and after that they want to save it bit more...

paypal needs reinvention.

Needs to shovel a lot excrement to get back to being "liked".

I already explained it.

Being a separate company, PayPal is going to start moving more towards the financial sector, rather than being eBays slave.

This, by it's nature, will require more risk. Thus, they will be harder on accounts.

I can't predict the future, but this is my guess based on the path they seem to be following. Don't go and buy stock based on my opinion though.

IMO , ebay is backbone for Paypal, where paypal earns more money combined to any other portals/online stores.

All this talk about ebay and PP separating, but does it have to do with this thread?

Re: Declining sales % every year

Hmm... I made some decent % of sales over the weekend, and today Monday... 0 views on most items.

Re: Declining sales % every year

Well, everyone kept saying Thanks giving and black friday are the main triggers, but I was hoping to start now... I'm just getting a little nervous as history shows that the starting time has been later and later each year ...

This year especially is important for me

Re: Declining sales % every year

It's been slow for my low priced items. My high dollar stuff seems to be steady. I actually raised the price of an item and sales are still steady.

Saturday night/sunday morning, gift type sales were good. Today it is crazy. Had to raise prices 30% to slow sales.

Re: Declining sales % every year

Hmmm now ya making me wonder if ebay is limiting my search results on all 20 accounts I have running.

Sales have been steady but not nearly at the volume I expect.

You are in a very saturated market. I wonder how many hours of the day each account gets visibility.

Last year I made 10x times more exactly this time of November already.
But I do remember things become steadily crazy starting Thanks giving day.

So I wonder if last year was a fluke

Re: Declining sales % every year

So Saturday is here... let's see how things go 1 week before Thx giving.

BTW, do you people read the stats from NRF?
It says that 70% people this year will start their shopping On Thanks giving day, all the way to X-mas.

While only 21% around Nov 10th
