Blocking number when calling ebay
 

I have always used *67 when calling ebay. I would use the local number and had no issues. I needed to file a non paying buyer dispute today and it wasnt working so I called ebay as I always do. It asked for my one time code or press # which i did. Then it told me I was calling from my real phone number. I was floored and just hung up. Tried again didnt say it this time. Tried a third time and it read off my number again. I am wondering how many times ebay has known that I am calling from the same number. Any hints on blocking the number you are calling from from ebay.

Yes, Ebay can see your real number.....they can tell if it's a mobile number, a landline and even if it's a VOIP.

I thought it you dialed the regular 801 area code number as opposed to the 866 toll free number that they could not see the number. Everytime I did that when I called it would say please enter your phone number as opposed to i see you're calling from... This is the first time it seems as though they knew the phone number.

One thing you "should" be aware at all times, Companies are constantly upgrading sytems....and phone system is no exception.

Talk a tone app works still????? Ive used it with no issues but not within 6 months.
