Barclays Everyday Saver
 

I know there are other threads about this, but here is my experience in the last few days.

I am unable to add a Barclays Everyday Saver to my new PP account. I have had error message after error message over the last few days. Yesterday, the PP account wanted to verify by phone/text, but even that failed.

I already have a Barclays Everyday Saver added to a PP account I created a while ago.

However I have just opened a HSBC Flex saver and added it immediately with no issues.

Curious if this is a glitch or a very recent change to do with this particular Barclays Account?

PayPal seems to be having an issue adding a couple of types of bank accounts at the moment

I had the same issue adding a Halifax 2/3 days ago

Was it the same PayPal account that you added to the HSBC account to?

Yes I only did it about 15 minutes ago.

Thought I would update this thread for anyone that might be interested.

I have today attempted to do the same.

I attempted to add a Barclays Saver account to a one month old Paypal Account.

The same error message appeared.

Then about 15 minutes later the account was limited.

PP asked me to confirm my phone number and confirm the Bank Account. (Which I couldn't because it has not been added.)

I will avoid Barclays Saver accounts from now on.

This is because Barclays recycle their account numbers. In your instance your account was limited, in my case Paypal were happy to remove the bank account from the previous users account and add it to mine (after going back and forth).

Would be a good idea to avoid them completely.
