the buyer address is a hotel address
 

i just sold a cell phone on the ebay.
the winner bid it with high price. i am in canada,buyer in france.

i just check the his ebay and paypal address is a hotel address. i typed his address on the googla. the result show "cap hotel"

i am offer free shiping in the usa and canada. other country email me first. this person never email me. just bid.

i think there is problem. what do you guy think.

should i shipped or not. any suggestion.

anyone has see same problem?

i do not send invioce yet. also he is not pay me yet. how can i see if address confirmed with paypal or not?

yaw, regardless of that,what about the cost of sending the item, import duty in France? The OP has had a bid without the buyer knowing all the costs. I have had many many expensive (for me) problems sending items to France. Have a quick read of this thread.

imjustme has had a lot of troubles as well.

the ebay charge me lots final value fee. the buyer just disappeared. who can help me cancel the fees? lots of buyer do not show up after win.

That's a different issue. Don't you know what to do about a non-paying bidder?

i've noticed that many people who offer international shipping dont ship to France but never knew why until today, Thanks GB..

you would have to wait 7 days to file a nonpaying bidder dispute

you can file to cancel the transaction:

*on the 8th day after filing (if the buyer hasnt responded) you can close the case and get a fvf credit

so i should contact buy and ask him help me cancel the transaction. if he not agree, i lost my fvf ? anything i can talk to ebat said the address is hotel address?

Just contact "Ebay live help" and tell them the situation.

As much as I hate Ebay live help, they have the power to credit FVF's instantly. I've done it several times with a 100% success rate.

It's okay if the buyer sent money order. Some people live going from hotel to hotel.

But with credit card, the buyer is scamming you. AVS probably won't work in France and even if it does, PayPal will instantly help the buyer steal from you the second they can.

I wouldnt advice it, by sending your package.. paypal will deduct the payment from you
after the scammer has your sold cell phone, and pay back the victim of the cardholder
You could wait for the payment to clear, maybe 1 week will allow you to keep what is owed to you

Dont forget the tracking must be added within 7 days of payment received

This may not necessarily be a scam. Maybe the person works at the hotel and would like the item shipped to their work address. I ship to peoples work address all the time. I'm sure most of you sellers have done this too. It's safer to ship to work addresses sometimes to avoid having the package left in front of your door for other people to take(if you live in the city).
