Ebay restricted my account..they want to me call them?!
 

After I listed my first item, a cheap $3 phone case, eBay took it down and sent me a message saying I need to verify my account, and until I do that they will put a selling hold on my account. WTF, this happens literally every single time I make a new account and try to sell something.

I know that this question has been asked many times before, but since it is now 2015, I wonder if eBay has changed some of the questions they ask?

How are they going to verify my account if I call them? Can they look up the address that I used and see who lives there and if it matches the name on my account? Will they ask me to fax my id or something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thats the way things work these days.
The good news is this is a very simple call to make and very easy to pass. They'll ask you basic questions such as 'what item are you selling', 'how did you get it', 'do you have a supplier' etc.
For this reason you should list a low risk item as your very first item - something easily explained.
From my experience that's all they ask unless you screw things up when you talk to them.

Really? They only ask questions about what I'm selling?
I thought they would ask my name, phone number, address, who I'm related to..stuff to verify who I am, you know?
