Canceling sold auctions lead to suspension or no?

Can canceling sold auctions lead to suspensions? Sometimes I cancel about 3 in a month after they are sold due to non paying bidders, but it shows up on my defect rate even if it's not my fault.

If it is showing up on your defect rate, then you might need to amend your listings.

Why are you allowing time for non-payers to control your sales?

you're doing something wrong mate, you just should open unpaid item case which can be closed 4 days after opening and you would receive final value fee, it won't appear on your defects dashboard in any way.

You need to use the unpaid assistant and just set whatever amount of days and when a buyer doesn't pay an unpaid case gets opened and than closed automatically .

This is the proper way to deal with non paying buyers

Totally agree with you, it's not pain anymore when you get assistant in place

My sister's account got suspended indefinitely due to cancelling too many bids.

Why was she cancelling bids?

Auction ending price did not meet her expectation.

Yeah, that doesn't really make sense to do that, if you put up an auction and don't put a reserve then cancelling bids should not be allowed.

Short answer YES

If someone has won, but hasn't paid, you need to open "unpaid item" case. That guy will either pay, or you will win the case, and a button "cancel the transaction and get fess back" will appear in the case. Actually, you can set it up, so unpaid item cases will be opened automatically of the buyer fails to pay in, say, 3 days after the purchase. Very handy! That way allows to close cases without getting defects.

Across all accounts, I get about 10 unpaid item cases each month and you just open an unpaid item case, wait till you get free credit and then just do that.

If you cancel bids, thats bad. If you cancel sales because YOU have problems with ending price or stock levels, thats also bad.
