Linking Knowledge
 

I have just upgraded my Smart Phone to a Brand New Samsung Galaxy 6.

My Contacts are on Googlemail and I added this account to the Mobile to Sync Contacts.

I then downloaded the Facebook App.

I then noticed that the You Tube App on the phone had numerous Videos that I had recently visited on my PC.

I know EBay puts adverts in my Facebook feed from items I have visited.

So is You Tube sharing Info with Google or Facebook? EBay is sharing info with Facebook, is this an issue? How is all this technology happening, as I would like to know for my own knowledge.

Gmail is linked to a number of things, so if you have it on a pc it will pull all that info when you use that gmail on your phone for things like YouTube. I stay clear of gmail linking by using a different gmail account for your phone. This gmail can be used for your main business contacts

This is just "smart advertising" or whatever it's called, adverts are learning from your cookies, they see what you have searched etc. couldn't call this a sharing of information, it's just google and facebook who are smart with their advert types :)

i see the same thing when i visit multiple site and they advertise the item i just looked at 5 min ago... smart advertisement
