IP with two accounts
 

I have a brand new IP I have paid for etc and started to use it with one account (no selling activity, just browsing) however I am wanting to start on another account and stop using this account. Instead of purchasing a new IP can I use this for another account? Basically just wanting to approve upon the information on the account, will be a totally new stealth account. No issues with the old one.

It would be fine for you to start another account on the same IP. Naturally this would create an opportunity for eBay to link the two accounts, but that wouldn't really matter for you since you haven't sold anything.

When its been used on 1 account before, its best to stick to using it on that 1 account only otherwise the benefit of the dedicated IP is lost

i would say it is ok. Be aware that the two account will be linked. With the due consequences.

The benefit of using a dedicated IP has not yet been utilized since he has only browsed on the account he mentioned. If a link did occur sometime in the future he/she would have nothing to lose.

If browsing is done on Account 1 using IP Address A and then browsing is done on Account 2 also using IP address A, then Account 1 and Account 2 would be linked, therefore making the benefit of the dedicated IP address void

One purpose of using a dedicated IP is to prevent link of accounts

Thank you for your replies. I understand it would link the two accounts but the first I am looking at stopping using has only just got browsing history. Instead of paying out for a new dedicated IP I thought it would be a better way to just forget about the first account

Depends on who you are using to provide you with an IP address service, you can often pay a one off fee (£10 or so usually) and get them to change the IP you are using

I think your case it will work fine. But as other mention it would cause your 2 accounts linked
