ebay holiday promotions

looking for your intake on make holiday promotion on ebay, what is the best way to approach the subject and get a good result with increased sales and volume i want to get as many sales as i can, i am in a small niche with 2-3 competitors, should i lower prices? do ebay promotion?

looking for some guidance.
