Suppliers and Wholesalers

What website did you buy your items to sell on eBay?Alibaba, Liquidation, Wholesalecentral or wholesaledesignerhandbags? I saw those websites in the eBay stealth book. Just wondering which website should I trust to buy to sell on eBay. thanks.

I don't think that anyone would share with information from which they live. But Alibaba, Liquidation, etc. are okay.

There is no one BEST source for everything. You have to look around and use different wholesalers for different items. The best thing to do is, find an item that you want to sell, that you think will be profitable and then try to find a source for that item. For smaller orders, sites like dhgate.com and aliexpress.com are good and offer you at least SOME buyer protection. For larger orders, Alibaba is a good source. Wholesale Central can be helpful as well. Be careful at liquidation.com, there are a lot of sharks unloading their garbage there. The quality of their items is often questionable. 888lots.com has quality merchandise, but you have to be diligent and do your research before buying from them - look at Amazon yourself to see what the items are selling for, or look up the price on eBay. Don't take their work for what the current pricing is. They are pretty honest, but pricing changes all the time and their information may not be current.

And whatever you want to sell, I recommend using Terapeak to see how many are actually SELLING and what they are selling for. That will tell you if there is a market for your item and what realistic selling prices are. Too many "wholesalers" will tell you that the product is "listed on Amazon for $xxx.xx" but LISTED and SOLD are two different things. I can list a common pencil on eBay or Amazon for $20,000 but that does not mean that I will ever actually SELL one at that price.

And if anyone wants to buy a pencil for $20,000, please send me a PM and I will be happy to arrange that for you. I'll even throw in the overnight shipping for free. Hell, I'll get on a plane and hand deliver it to you!

It depends on the item. There's no set formula or route for sourcing items. For all my items, I think I have a different route for almost all of them.
