Reporting Buyers I'm based in the UK and sell low value items that do not warrant to send them tracked. A buyer has now claimed the item that I have sent has never arrived to him and now insists a refund - I'd say fair enough if it was legit but looking at the feedback he has left for others I do not believe it one bit!
How do you go about reporting buyers like this who are clearly making a mockery of sellers good will? |

It is always good to read feedback before shipping.. and then , cancel the order..
You can also leave him a positive feedback where you write something like : WARNING OF THIS SCAMMER
also , you can look here http://www.watchcount.com/bh.php before sending to see if there is something suspect with his buying history (if he buy 10 xbox last week, he doesn't need one more..) |

The OP ask for a little help, like i often do.. i'm not judging his selling plan, i just share my (little) experience |

:nono: | yes OP, sorry , be very careful . I just tell what i am doing , doesn't mean it is the good way |
| Dmshark25 | 11-28-2015 03:03 AM | Re: Reporting Buyers I set my buyer requirements high , I exclude buyers with 4 unpaid cases within 6 months or something like that and also just ship domestic and just 48 states, no PO BOX either, and if someone wants to use a PO box they will message me and I can decide. Also I only allow 3 items to be purchased by 1 buyer within 10 days, so if someone wants more they will message me.
Whatever filters through is usually all honest buyers. No time to read through feedback , which is a he said / she said scenario.
Set the bar high And just sell leave emotion out of it with feedback or back and forth with buyers over an issue. I find this approach is the most effective and does not waste time being a detective and trying to expose scammers, they will expose themselves |
Re: Reporting Buyers Welcome to the forums OP - all the best as you master stealth.
Sadly, these cases are quite a few - don't forget to block the buyer from purchasing from you again |
| Burger Box Man | 11-28-2015 05:16 AM | Re: Reporting Buyers No tracking means a refund. Ebay will definately side qith the buyer. Harsh but thats life, it's no picnic. |
| JamesNorth101 | 11-28-2015 08:59 AM | Re: Reporting Buyers Hard to do but the best move is refund and move on
Make sure you add to the block list! |
| luckoftheirish93 | 11-28-2015 01:44 PM | Re: Reporting Buyers broken system and it is hard to take without getting angry as you have done nothing wrong but ebay wrote in2 their terms saying you really should have a tracking number and so they cover themselves while you have to pay...it does suck but sure you just sell more and learn |
| newjerseymax | 11-28-2015 08:13 PM | Re: Reporting Buyers Best is to offer free shipping and include that in your total price. Always ship with tracking or item is not worth selling. If you are ok to refund some then ok. However it seems like this method not working for your business model |
| bluegrass1 | 11-30-2015 12:51 PM | Re: Reporting Buyers Correct me if I am wrong but if you cancel order and mark reason you cant fulfill order out of stock or other reason it will refund their money and NOT let them leave feedback..
Since you didn't have tracking you have already lost the case in 99% of cases.. I too sell many items that sell for less than it would cost me to ship with tracking and most of the time it goes well with some crooks here and there. I cancel the orders then hit the report buyer button and put them on the block list .. |

If you're selling low value items, just refunding the buyer makes a lot more sense. Otherwise your account will go below standard pretty quickly.. |
