IP Problems Need some Advice Please
 

Hi i have verizon fios an have a MI424WR Modem i have 4 steath accounts for the past 3 months i was able to change my Ip Address no problem but now my ip address wont change i have trying for the past 2 days with no luck is there anyway i can solve this issue or is the a ip provider i can use i have items that sold on my other ebay accounts that i need to ship but i am unable to change the ip address please help im freakin out here

Ask them if you have been moved to a static IP

If you have ask to be put back onto a Dynamic one if possible

Failing that you can look at a VPN or a dongle

i beleive im on dynamic would you no an good vpn providers also how does dongle work

If your on a fully dynamic then your IP would change pretty easily

It sounds like you were on Dynamic and then got moved onto a Static.

I would talk to the ISP first to find out if that is the case

do you have a smart phone with unlimited data service? tether your computer to your cell phone at least as a temporary solution so you can fill your orders.

i do have a smart phone but i cant tether it also in my router settings it shows im on dynamic an i have verizon so i cant change the mac address to change the IP i dont understand why it wont change is there any good VPN service anybody Knows of that i can use or is there a way i can change it thru my router

with verizon fios - just go to support then chat support and request a new ip. make sure you are hardwired in when doing so, so the chat will come back after the Ip resolves. Its a very simple process - just tell them your testing out different Ips for when you work from home.. they wont care. I have done this and it worked with in minutes.

cool im gonna give it a shot right now.. also after they changed it for you was you able to change your ip when you need to

i went to support chat and requested a new ip they did everything an it still wont change an it is confirmed it is on dynamic i dont know what else to do

- 24vc VPN's
- phone tethering
- wifi dongle

Those are pretty much your only 3 options if you can't get your ISP to help. You may have been flagged by Verizon somehow for changing your IP so often.

I personally use VPN's because I think it's the easiest way (also the most expensive though). All of my accounts have their own virtual machine. Each virtual machine has it's own VPN.

yea i think im gonna go with 24vc VPN's i have 5 accounts when you purchase a VPN do you still have acess to your original ip address

Hi, yeah you dont lose access to your original ip, can simply connect when you want to use the VPN and disconnect when you dont, it's that easy!
