I thought tracking number showing delivered to the address was enough to prove your case that the buyer received the item and couldn't just get a refund and a free item.
Today i wake up to check on my resolution case and ebay issued my buyer a refund who opened a case saying he didn't receive the item when i provided a tracking number that clearly shows he received it. Yet ebay still issues him a refund....
So i guess everyone go enjoy christmas and order whatever you want and even if you receive it just open a case that you haven't. Even if tracking shows you got it ebay will give it to you for free.

Yea, this has been going on for a while now. It's part of their buyer protection program or whatever, I always figured that was part of the reason the fees are so high. If you didn't get a negative then let it be. eBay does keep track of buyers who try to pull that stunt regularly and kicks em off.

refunds and resolutions are dependent on an algorithm, yes buyers can get away 1 time or 2 time in 6 months then if it suggests a pattern they got a problem, unfortunately if it is the first time and you are the seller....merry xmas

BUT the seller still gets paid and there is no defects....
It is a good thing ebay does IMO. Does it sometimes get abused? Of course.

Yes it does, I won a case just a few hours ago. I buyer opened a did not receive case, I uploaded the tracking. Ebay made a decision and closed the case in my favor.
This is because the automated ebay buyer protection system. If item shows delivered to the confirmed address, you can dispute this and get your money back almost always you just have to get a human involved.
