Argos click and collect

Evening all

If I buy from a. Stealth account and use Argos click and collect, will Argos ask me to verify the name for which the account was used? (ID etc)?

Never tried this before so wanna make sure first.

They just ask the name on the order. They DON'T ask for ID.

I have done it once with a stealth account and all I had to give them was the collection number. This was last month. I bought with a stealth that has a local address to me and also selected the argos here too.

Thanks chaps.

Do you have to collect it within a certain time frame??

Also...do you get notifications that the items arrived?

You should try just making a 'stealth buyer account' (if you can even call it that) with your own name, then you wouldnt even need to worry about this. You might be surprised....

I think you have a week to collect.

You get an email with your collection code. I just printed it off and took it. Handed it to the girl behind the collections counter and got my item.

It may be good way to build up trust with PP as you are also buying things, not just selling. Some say it doesn't matter, some do. It can't do any harm to use it though.

Just to make things even stealthier, wear a costume in case they check CCTV in the future, as eBay comes up with a new way to catch stealthers.

You can never be too careful.

Better still, ask a disposable friend if he can pick you something up from Argos :)

I sell tin foil hats & uniforms and rent a friend for just such needs.

COD only. Usually arrange pick up at the local dole office. You can meet your friend there.

if there is a problem with an order and the argos rep needs to call ebay then ebay will ask you to verify your details.

also when giving your delivery address you can use any name sometimes argos asks for this when verifying the parcel is yours
