New Seller Standards for Feb 2016?
 

I posted earlier about my account being projected as being below standard on 20th January due to buyers opening up item not receive cases to ask when there item would be delivered due to them not reading the description. I think I got 9 of these requests and a few negative feedbacks which put my account below standard.

But I know the new changes are coming in February so does anyone have any idea on how that will affect my account if I'm still below standard? As I know the new seller ratings won't count cases that were resolved (which all mine were), and it said it also won't count negative feedback as defects anymore.

So does anyone know how exactly that will work? If you are below standard for reasons that ebay will no longer count as defects anymore?

Ebay is not clear if these standards are retroactive or not from what I read. Only time will tell.

Pretty sure it will... you can preview right now what your rating with be by going Seller Dashboard > Notification Bar > "New seller performance standards are coming February 2016"

It should say "If we evaluated you today, your seller level would be..."

But keep in mind they said any accounts SUSPENDED before these changes go live due to defects WILL NOT be restored... like even if you're one month behind. If you get axed before Feb 20th, lights out for that account-- so do everything you can :)

BTW, my opinion; I'm pretty sure with this update, they're just removing it out of the view of sellers (like they did the Policy Violation compliance a year or two ago)... you'll still be secretly held and evaluated to the current 5% rule with the current defects.

What I'm saying is probably don't expect to be able to have 5% cases opened every evaluation and be able to go along you way without issue just because it's not on your seller dashboard anymore.
