Weird listing removal

Listed software key for sale. As per eBay TCs, selling a key is allowed, but listing should contain link to a place, where the software can be obtained digitally. But the reason for removal was - Link to a third-party website! They require to put a link in the listing, and then remove it because of link in the listing! What's that?

just say in your listing you will send it digitally, like uv code for dvds- just copy an established sellers template and you will avoid mec notices

Maybe you would be better off if you just put the URL and not an actual link.

Well, used different templates, some of them had URL, some of them did not, but never ever got issues regarding URLs to download pages.
