Default Stripping images of meta data and adding new camera data

I'm wanting to strip the meta data from images and then add the - camera type, date, time etc of my choosing to the jpg.

I had some software that removed the meta data and also allowed you to add camera type/date/time to the jpg to make it appear that you had recently taken the picture with a camera of your choosing, but I can't recall what's it called?

It had a drop down list of cameras/lens used/time/ etc that you could select to add to the jpg, if anyone can help I would appreciate it

Here's EXIF editing software : EXIF Editor for JPEG, TIFF, EXIF file format with batch process- Opanda PowerExif Editor

Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop or a PHP script can also do the same thing.

interesting stuff. I guess it would look better to them to show the device than to have no information at all...

just like I like to have flash cookies enabled...

Batch Purifier lite is also a very solid program that a lot of members use

James - Batch purifier is an invaluable tool but it only does half of what the OP asked about.

I had sent that a bit sooner that I meant to without finishing! My bad

Batch Purifier lite to strip the EXIT data totally and then...

For then adding EXIF data back into a a picture there are a large number of very decent tools you can use

Exifer used to be really great, but the program has not been updated for a while now so its lagging behind a bit. You can still get hold of the old program though and it will do everything you need

Zoner Photo Studio is a good solid program

ExifTool is very good, but a bit more complex that the others as it uses DOS box to edit the EXIF data

To be honest though all of this is a bit overkill. I used to do it myself but it was time consuming. I now just strip the EXIF data and I have never had any issues
