Friend Requested by eBay Rep...
When I was increasing my sales in November and hit my limit of $ 15,000 (which I didn't even know existed), I called in and talked to a rep who was very nice. "Lee" reviewed my history and agreed to raise my seller limit to $ 30,000. A day after that, I received a friend request on Facebook from Lee. I figured, hey why not, and accepted.
Two weeks later I got my death message from eBay. I immediately emailed "my eBay friend" and asked what I should do. He quickly looked at my situation and advised me. It didn't help, but I did mention to him that I was looking at other options. His advice:
Really sorry about all this, K. The "system" does generate some head-scratching results. As for going "under the radar," I'll say this: That same "system" digs pretty deep in search of commonality between accounts: address info, financial info (like PayPal), computer IP's, etc. So you'll definitely want a lot of separation between your own identity and the identity associated with any account you use.
That said, I hope you succeed! And I also hope we can remain in touch.
Good luck!
Lee
With that being said, he has no knowledge of my new accounts...
Interesting conversation, yes?
