sell on old ebay account again?
 

Hi everyone,


I have a ebay account that was restricted indefinitely back in Aug 20, 2014,

all the low DSR's are removed, I only use this account for buying items on ebay. Is there a good chance if i called, I could sell on ebay again?

No harm in trying. Stranger things have happened. Those defects are very very high though

I would wait until the defects are 0%

You may want to block out personal details. Not everyone is friendly

you know its not clever to post your username. You should block it out in paint or something. there are malicious people everywhere.

I wouldn't post your eB/PP user name here (or anywhere). You never know if/when a representative from eB or PP are on this site looking for information just like this.

They've said they won't be reconsidering accounts that were suspended due to the previous selling standards once the feb selling standards are live, so I wouldn't give my hopes up but never hurts to try.

Also on a side note, I'm a believer that all eBay is doing with this update is removing transparency, like they did the the policy violation tab a couple years back... I think if your account goes above 5% with the current defect system (cases, DSR ect.) the bots will still consider limiting/suspending you, even once the new standards are live and you can no longer see those defects.

Please don't mitskar this post as bashing you. I'm not. But you REALLY, REALLY need to figure out why 21% of your sales are labeled as defective and how you can fix that.

Because, no matter what you do and no matter how old or solid an account is, if you start selling again and have defect rates like this, there is no way to recover from them. Not at over 21%! Poeple have a difficult time recovering from 5.5%...

There is never any harm in calling, because all they can say is no, and then you are no worse off than you were before. So, you have nothing to lose.

I will try, reason it is like that because buyers were filing chargebacks saying they didn't authorize the purchase,

I sell on Bonanza and still get chargebacks, Bonanza is way better than ebay, you can list as many items as you want, I'm paying $70 a month with them its worth the price.

Can you post some follow-up messages after you try? I have a restricted account which, based on Feb 20, 2016 performance standard, should be above standard, or even top-rated. I plan to appeal too. I believe many people in this forum have similar situation.

well i tried, first Representative said there was no need to reinstate my account and that all i needed was to have my selling limits increased, so she transferred me to a different department, then the woman on the phone said "because of your below standard status we are asking you to sell on another website other than ebay" i hung up on her,

they won't even give me a chance!

eBay is a joke!

Calling in with 20% defects will not be productive. Waite until they are zero even if that takes a year.

Honestly, 20% defects will never get reinstated. That is like having a 450 credit score and wanting to get a loan for a new house. The bank nor ebay will consider that risk.

anyhoo, did you get an email from ebay about it - that the defects fell off or that you can sell again or similar wording? s that has happened.
