Are used CDs considered high-risk items?

I could not find any relevant info on the forum so just wondering if you all think it's OK to list used CD on a new stealth account?
All are original, legit CDs.
Thanks!

They are very high-risk. They are f aked just as often as DVD's.

While it is true that CD's were heavily counterfeited and the new releases still ARE heavily counterfeited, I don't think most of these are considered high risk anymore. I would avoid listing brand new new release CD's and also expensive box sets of CD's, but if you are listing single CD's that are a few years old for $2 or $3 (or whatever the market price is) you should be OK. I have listed used CD's on a new account before with no issues.

It is really the same thing with DVD's. If you are listing new releases, expensive box sets, fitness DVD's sold on infomercials, or classic Disney animated DVD's as brand new, then your account will eventually be questioned by eBay. But if you are listing you old copy of Hello Dolly, or Willy Wonka, then they will probably leave you alone.

Be very careful how you word the listing.

Avoid what happened to this poster....

For the first 90 days you want to play it safe as possible, and even if you don't, chances are high you won't be be flat-out banned for most items, but expect to have to call in and submit documents of receipts/invoices if you want to sell high-risk items early.

After that you can get away with selling mostly anything that isn't policed by the VeROs, assuming customers are happy with your products.

That being said I believe what jeffweico is 100% true... some people are scared of listing CDs/DVDs early but honestly if they're older releases (that aren't Disney or a very popular classic film) and well pictured by you (close front/back, the disc itself if open) listing it isn't that risky. Not as safe as a teapot set or set of pens, but you can do it.
