| kowloonwolfpack | 01-29-2016 11:56 PM | ebay cartel if i message people who are selling the same thing as me and get them to agree to set prices, and create a cartel, can i get banned on ebay? |
Re: ebay cartel Would you be the boss? |
| kowloonwolfpack | 01-30-2016 12:11 AM | Re: ebay cartel well, there would be other accounts that i could pretend to be my supporter.....more accounts more supporters. |
Re: ebay cartel So lets say they go along with the plan, eventually everyone is going to want be the chief....can only have 1 chief. |
| kowloonwolfpack | 01-30-2016 12:17 AM | Re: ebay cartel you think we'd have a lord of the flies situation on our hands? |

But let me give you a scenario, you get all to agree about pricing....what's to stop you (who knows stealth) in making more account and going against the price arrangement, what do you do then? |

But that's another discussion.
I simply referred to a free-marketplace where everyone can sell for as much as they're able to based on creativity and marketing. I doubt the 'cartel-thing' will work as sooner or later a member of your cartel will get greedy and turns against you...just my $0.02 |

| kowloonwolfpack | 01-30-2016 01:13 AM | Re: ebay cartel i beg to differ, cartels are the pinnacle of capitalism at it's finest! look at the oil refining business! you guys cant grow and market a brand while ebay stealthing, may as well just embrace the cronyism. |

Unrelated but I was selling recipes on a stealth account about 3-4 months ago. Hadn't sold recipes on a stealth account for a while but when I did, never had a issue.
Well..99.9% of people buying buy for feedback. Some "goody-twoshoes" left negative feedback AND opened a "item not received case" when the shipping clearly stated "local pick up only". When I asked why they were doing this? They said "I didn't get my recipe, its only the right thing to do" ....:pout:
:shhh: |
| two3aight1 | 01-30-2016 09:03 AM | Re: ebay cartel I have pondered that same idea before. Best to start your own cartel with stealths...you wont be able to keep people in line unless your able to kill them for not following your rules. Even if you do wack a few people they end up here in the end and come right back with stealths. Your cartel will crumble. Make your own cartel with stealths |
| phaz0rz | 01-30-2016 09:16 AM | Re: ebay cartel I agree with everyone who thinks this won't work effectively. I would be the first seller to agree to your price fixing, then I would undercut you on the price 2 days later. I'm not in the business of reporting other sellers, but I would definitely use your inside info to my advantage. |
| easy.bake.oven | 01-30-2016 12:55 PM | Re: ebay cartel Wisen Up OP..... I am certain whoever you message will tell you to 'Do One'.
or maybe you 'Run tings' on the net and money people listen to you.
Thanks for making me laugh xxxxxxxxxx |

| yankee | 01-30-2016 02:27 PM | Re: ebay cartel I have not read everything above yet and will later.
I have made price agreements and always find that someone swoops in and scoffs up the lowest price sales anyways. Maybe a second account or maybe not. Who knows. |
