Sales Tax Question
 

I live in Georgia. I drop ship items to other states. One company that I deal with has started charging me tax in the states (CA & FL) where they have warehouses even though I don't collect sales tax from those states. Has anyone ever heard of this practice or have any suggestions on what I can do to keep from being charged sales tax? Our other suppliers do not do this.

Every seller on eBay has the option to charge sales tax for sales in their state. I'm not a tax expert but I'm pretty sure this is an option because you (as the seller) have to pay state sales tax for sales in your state.

If this is an eBay seller you're talking about you can avoid paying the sales tax by using a buyer account not based in the same state as your supplier. If you buy from this supplier outside of eBay and they've decided to start taxing you, there isn't much you can do about it other than find a new supplier.
