Linking phone w/ Paypal remedy! Must see!
 

I created about 20 accounts last year, NONE with active numbers.

Fast forward to now... On the accounts that are my strong EIN worthy accounts I've bought at&t go phones (pay as you go). I always read that if you don't keep the active number on creation its nearly impossible to get it working later on while the account ages.

So on my account that UPGRADED to business with a EIN I added my go phone no problem.

Tonight I tried on a different go phone and it didn't work... The rep gave me this little trick and I haven't seen anyone mention it so I figured I'd share.

Followed by a set of numbers. Not sure if I should post them publicly. Maybe someone can move this thread to private. It worked for my phone so I'm now 100% complete in paypals eyes. Never hurts.

And just to clarify...

I text a 6 digit number with "balance" as the text. Then after that you click the confirm button again and THEN you receive a text. The "name" on the go phone is my business name. I don't think it really matters though but doesn't hurt to be safe.

Hmpf. Maybe this outdated or something...

I just added another GO PHONE on a different stealth paypal and didn't even need to text the # like my other account. Everyone on here made it seem like this was impossible to do and I'm 3/3 on my accounts I've attempted to add phones on.

You can add phone numbers to your PP account all day long and probably as many as you want.

Let us know when you can receive the verification text from the newly added phone that is sometimes asked for when doing a withdrawal.

So I did some digging on the internet, turns out this is public info. Can we have more people test this theory and report back to us?

The problem is not about adding a phone number its will that number verify your account when there is a security issue like when sending money or a withdrawal and you are unable to complete the transaction until you verify your account using the phone number you enter.

You can enter any number , but a lot of times when verifying account to complete a transaction you will get a message like " name associated with number differs from account" or something like that

You never know, this fixes that problem too....we need some testers.
