Should I accept Top Rated Seller status?

What are the thoughts on Top Rated Seller status? Is it ok to upgrade to Top Rated or does that draw too much attention to you? Is it better to avoid this and stay under the radar?

Depends on your sales and general category.

Some categories people need to do what ever it takes to get their listings ranked higher, in order to sell more iphone chargers or lightbulbs.

Then there are categories that kind of sell themselves without much hassle.

I have tried both types of accounts and I have yet to notice difference in my sales. If anything, I sell more on just standard accounts.

If your sales are OK and you are happy, why change? If you think thats that one thing thats missing from life and it would be a dream come true, go for it.

In my opinion it can only be a good thing... eB gives you more trust, exposure and discounts. I think the only thing that draws attention to you and triggers reviews on eb (that isn't seller performance/vero related) is ramping up sales too quickly month to month.

Never noticed much of a difference between "Top Rated" and "Above Standard" as far as sales go. My business accounts stay top rated plus and my "stay under the tax limit" accounts are usually above standard, and they all do fine.

It's definitely worth the work it takes to become top rated plus if your monthly sales are in the 5 digit range. If you had a $20k month, you would pay $400 less in fees on a top rated plus account with the 20% FVF discount.

Yeah, that's the main difference that I figured was the discounts. It just seems like I read someone say before not to go Top Rated for some reason. Just wanting to be sure I'm not screwing up before I do it.
