Another question about IP address

I am still reading ebay stealth guys.

Question:

I created two new user accounts on my computer because I will have two different ebay accounts.

I know I need to change my IP address and I have no problem doing that, but do I need a different IP address for each new user account? Is that possible?

Thanks

Lets start with, What are you going to be using for your Internet....once we know that then we can move forward to explaining on how you can do what you want to do.

Ok, so the next question is......What have you tried with that Cable Modem to get a new IP? Meaning......will your Modem give you a new IP IF you turn it off/on? or do you have to do something special?

I have not tried getting a new ip address yet, I don't have an issue with that as the instructions are clearly laid out in the stealth book.

My concern is that I will be creating two new accounts, so if I lock into my ebay account on one user ID, then log into the other account on the other user ID, wont I be logging into two accounts then with the same IP?

Correct me if I am wrong, still very new to this.
thanks!

OK, Lets say you Log into User Account 1 with the IP 192.166.19.0 (pretend IP) THEN you log out of User Account 1 and Log into User Account B...But DON'T change the IP...then yes, you will have logged into both with the same IP.

The best method is to log into 1 account, log out. Log into User Account 2 and change the IP address BEFORE you log into the Ebay/PP account for User Account 2.

Yes you would be. You will have to do something to change your IP address before you log into the 2nd account, or you will risk being linked. I don't know what kind of IP advice is given in the stealth guide, but make sure you know the difference between your PUBLIC IP and you PRIVATE IP since you are using a wireless router. A friend of mine recently lost all his accounts because he was not aware of this distinction. He was plugging his cable modem into a different wireless router for each of his accounts. Therefore, his PRIVATE IP was changing but his PUBLIC IP (given by the cable modem) was remaining the same.

Got it, thanks.
Maybe I am wrong but, isnt that kind of a hassle every time you need to log in to a 2nd account?

When you sell online for a living it is a necessary hassle to protect yourself.

I don't mind logging into my VPN's one bit. I feel so much more secure knowing there is no possible link between any of my accounts.

So to answer your question, you are wrong :P

It is with a Modem. I prefer a Mifi/Dongle (Verizon) which gives me a huge IP Pool.....or you can just go with a Static IP VPN. Also some people use a variety of methods just to mix it up. There's no 1 right answer, I tell people to with whatever is easiest but also safest.

No one said stealth was fun!

Yes it can be a pain switching i.ps' and making sure there are no matches with other stealths. It becomes even more of a pain if you have 10, 20 or 40 accounts.

The bottom line though is that if you want to run successful stealths with durability then there is no place for cutting corners, and you have to put up with all the dull boring stuff to make sure things get done right. :thumb:

Thanks MM.

So a VPN provides you with a completely fresh IP address that will be the same everytime you log in right?

I still dont understand how it would help me solve the issue of a 2nd user account/ ebay account on the same computer?

You have user accounts to protect the security of the info of your ebay accounts.

Info needed is all together in a user account so that when you sign into ebay/paypal they can ID you and not link between accounts.

If you are running more than 1 account, you would then pay for 2 VPN's, one for each account....which then gives you 2 separate IP's.

Understood, thanks.

And would each VPN be linked to each user account on my computer?

How would I toggle/switch between different IP addresses?

YOU would program each VPN to each User account.

Just out of curiousity, do you know what Separate Windows User Accounts work...I feel like your not completely understanding the "user accounts" thing.

Apply every step before you hop to the next, create a few user accounts, see how they function... imagine how you'll be running your first stealth account with this user account... check your ip with ipburger.com and realize that eBay can see the same info and records it to every account.

Google search is your friend, try to understand the ins and outs every step it takes to go stealth, and why it's necessary, before you go to the next step.
