Account linked through clicking on order link?
 

Hey everyone,

My eBay account was suspended 3 years ago, they have restricted me again after I tried to sell on a new account. I stopped selling since but do have a new account that I use for buying.

Due to item purchase limit, I need to use a friend's account to buy a second item, I had purchased the same item on my account earlier. I was in a hurry to leave so I had copied the link to the item and sent it to my phone. Then I used the link and logged into my friend's account at his work computer, I end up not buying the item. Come to realize later on that the URL contained eBay tracking, it's the URL from clicking on the item link under "Orders", the URL included "_trksid=" and some random number strings after the normal item URL.

This is my first time ever having my account associated with his. Do you think our accounts have been linked? He is currently selling some items, if eBay catches on, how long would it be before eBay restricts his account?


Any advice would be helpful.
