Hey Zane, you have to understand one thing that no one will give you their secret selling tip. Even if they did I don't think you would have the ability to make the same returns as they can, because you need the knowledge and experience to move the products/market it.

My advice is to find something that you are passionate about, FACTS

* Research (Yes this will take time, we all have to go through it especially if you selling seasonal products, like clothing) You can't sell one type of product forever, there is a product life cycle on most products and if you want to keep up with the market you must keep on researching. INVEST YOUR TIME INTO YOUR BUSINESS.

*Buy and resell
-In the reselling business your profit margin is not as high as when you develop and sell your own products. Since, consumers have the ability to cross reference your product offering/price with other sellers. However, you can still make a lot of money from reselling if you have the right strategies in place, such as marketing, product add on, promotion cards for repeat purchases, your images/video of the product, pricing strategy OR have first mover advantage. I SOLD 500 units of the iphone 4 battery pack in 2011 in two months before the product was even on the Australian eBay.
!YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR RESEARCH!

* Find a supplier ( Google search, I would stay away from Alibaba if you haven't dealt with oversea's manufacturer before, since they will only deal with a minimum order. If you are only going to be moving small units, try to find a existing products from these B2C/B2B sites Aliexpress, taobao, Tmall, jd.com, Dhgate etc

*Developing your own products, Thanx rsot for bringing this point up.

Passion+execution=results $$$$$$

Basic example in 2010 I had develop my own scaffolding belts after one year of testing the product in two extreme weather conditions within Australia I knew I had a great product. The product was made out of buffalo leather and the quality was as good as the market leaders. To this day I still wholesale the products to training facilities and companies in Australia. The process will take time, but in the long run it will pay dividends. Find something you like, produce it, package it, market it, sell it, and bank it $$$.

Information is the new money go get you some.

GOOD LUCK

IF you have the cash to experiment with, might as well jump in. Those items are electronics - very dangerous to sell on a new account and highly subjective to counterfeiting I think

If you haven't realized this yet, you're a novice. It would be impossible for you to just jump right in and start selling $25k pallets. LMAO.

Nothing wrong with dreaming, but you're going to need to start a lot smaller than that.

With your experience level I think you'd lose your life savings very quickly if you tried to start with wholesaling high-end electronics.

Didn't you read, it's for his "friend"! haha. Not for him anymore, now it's a friend who is interested...and now it's not "give me a supplier" but "who can sell me this stuff at a profitable price". We must look gullible :brushteeth:
