| | | sdot10 | 02-17-2016 03:52 PM | Remember to block those images people Had an account going just fine.
My main computer went down so using my laptop. I have another laptop I use specifically for stealth. I used my non stealth laptop to check an email and realized I didnt have images blocked by default on it.
I will routinely do this on my main computer. Just open an incognito tab and see if i have any messeges to answer. If images are turned off has not ever been a problem.
Thought to myself well one check probably wont destroy the account. WRONG. Just checked and account is suspended. Just a reminder to make sure images are disabled because all it takes is one apparently. |
Re: Remember to block those images people Are you certain that it was ONLY the image issue that got the account suspended? I am just analyzing to be sure - unless...you used the laptop for a long time without disabling images? |
| sdot10 | 02-17-2016 04:58 PM | Re: Remember to block those images people Im certain it was just the images. There was nothing else it could have been. It definitely wasnt a long time. Ive only been using the laptop for like 3 days.
Good news with this though is that I made a call to ebay and they reinstated the account. |

Does it have something to do with responding to the message from ebay? |

I highly recommend you pickup thunderbird portable and put it on a USB drive, that way if you ever have to leave the command center you will have all your emails easily available and can safely check them on any machine. |

| Mitsu | 02-17-2016 07:19 PM | Re: Remember to block those images people Really unnecessary precaution, as long as all remote content is blocked (TB does that by default), and you don't click any links in the email, you're completely in the clear. |

probably using other things too. |

However rest assured, all this content is blocked by TB. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb...nt-in-messages |

Do I need to disable images on my phone? If so, how? |

Do I need to disable images on my phone? If so, how? | You go into the gmail options on your phone and disable images/e-mail content |

Do I need to disable images on my phone? If so, how? | I do the same and have images disabled and never been an issue unless they upgraded security. Which they can do at any given time. If they go the Amazon fingerprint route this place will be so busy with suspended accounts. For now our ebay stealth settings would fail Amazon type security in seconds for many of us.
Could be proactive and use Amazon type of creating and maintain to avoid future changes in ebay.
Just imagine most of your competitors banned and you alone on ebay could make a killing.... |

I just swallowed my pride. Kept agreeing and told them I would make the changes. :hail:
The reasons have no real merit. They will say anything.
I had a rep once tell me they had issues because my description was in all bold and that didnt make sense. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:27 AM. | |
