| | | DezRfc1 | 02-22-2016 12:28 PM | Zero selling limits on new accounts Followed the stealth guide to setting up a new Ebay/Paypal, but at the moment i'm constantly getting zero selling limits on new accounts. I don't understand why I'm getting this as ive successfully set up new accounts in the past.
I thought the number forwarding app I was using was the problem but I bought a cheap pay as you go sim and tried again, still getting the same problem.
Any help is appreciated. |
| Ebayorbust | 02-22-2016 12:30 PM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts Ensure a bank account is attached on Paypal and request higher selling limits within My Ebay. This will get you to 10/£650. |
| JamesNorth101 | 02-22-2016 12:31 PM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts Need the PayPal to be bank verified :)
Then you wont have any issues |
| DezRfc1 | 02-22-2016 12:36 PM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts Had the bank account verified with the 4 digit code this morning and entropay also attached successfully.
Tried requesting higher selling limits as suggested and got this message "You can now sell up to 0 items or up to £0.00 per month, whichever comes first" |
| JamesNorth101 | 02-22-2016 12:38 PM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts You may need to pop into chat to get that increased to 10 / £650. Should be automatic though
In future you want to make sure that your PayPal is bank verified before turning it into a sellers account |

If that doesn't work re-request a raise in limits and just stay on the page with your email open for 20 minutes and it should show. |
| vetus | 02-22-2016 12:42 PM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts As realdeals says - usually 10 minute delay or so, should get you 10/650 regardless of the message you have seen. |

Then you wont have any issues | Sorry but this isn't true. If eBay can't verify the stealth name and address, the limit will remain 0/0 until you call in and verify info. |

Yep i was pulling your leg [emoji6]
It is strange how people cannot see the obvious when people post from a certain country and get replied about rules from another. |
| masama | 02-26-2016 04:41 AM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts Okay, just to end this drama. US doesn't have a chat feature only calls, while UK has chat and calls to confirm the account limits.
Now, whichever comes handy to anyone feel free to use what is available in your country.
For the thread starter, call or chat with ebay UK. |

For the thread starter, call or chat with ebay UK. | 1. Change your font colour. It is awful.
2. Do not give advice when you are not qualified to.
3. The OP has already had his problem solved with advice given.
4. NEVER advise someone to call or chat to ebay when there is no need. |

The person is only trying to help.
1. - I like orange
2. Wow, who is qualified? - are you the judge? We are all qualified, you know the score XxX
3. OK
4. Another member has also stated you may need to go onto chat - why don't you curse them? - double standards?
Sorry if my post seems rude, its not meant to be, I am just saying what I am feeling X Quote:

Yes I do feel I am able to judge who is qualified and this guy certainly isn't. No, not everyone is qualified at all.
Any member who says you need to go into chat or phone is wrong. This is about account creation. The limits will eventually show. What JamesNorth actually said was the limits should show automatically, if they don't then you need to go to chat. This is correct, the limits will indeed show automatically. So no need to call James out as what he states is true and completely different from someone just saying call ebay / chat ebay straight away when they CLEARLY do not understand the present UK account making process. |
| vetus | 02-26-2016 07:54 AM | Re: Zero selling limits on new accounts I do have a slightly different viewpoint - a lot of the time when you create an account and it 'glitches' I always find that's not because the limits won't show, it's because it's a high limit account.
The ones that glitch tend to me the 1000 item accounts in the UK. If you leave them and don't speak to chat you're good to go however, there have been instances if you go on chat they setup your selling limit table for you with the 1000 / £15,000 limits.
Also, lets stop the rumour that you need a VERIFIED PayPal attached to the eBay to even get any selling limits. I NEVER make a Paypal before turning the eBay into a selling account.
