I have no idea how cookies work. Can Ebay read my cookies and see that I am an active member on aspkin? Does that raise flags in their system if I am always online reading up on the forums?

EBay can only track the cookies on their website, EBay can't see what other sites you visit. Cookies are used to help a website know if you have visited their site before.
