Help with creating new Etsy account!
I opened an etsy account just over a week ago and its been doing really well. Some of my items are handmade and others are not.
I want to create a 2nd account to list the more 'risky' items so that if I were to be restricted then at least my original account will still be ok. So right now my first account is doing fine and I've removed the more risky items myself, so that means when I create my 2nd account the two accounts will not be selling the same items anyways.
I'm just worried that if my 2nd account was to be taken down they would link it to my 1st account. I have read they can link you just by using the same computer even if you change your IP and user and everything else. So how do I go about making sure this doesn't happen?
Would it be possible to create the 2nd account on my iPhone using 3G so that the wifi IP isn't the same? I have a different credit card to link to the 2nd account and paypal etc. Please give me some tips on this. Obviously like I said I haven't been restricted or anything like that so I can easily make a new account i just want to make sure there is no way for them to be linked if something was to happen to one of them.

| No I created my first account on my computer (its a macbook if that helps). I did however have the etsy seller app which was on my phone that notified me when I received orders etc and when using this I was on my phones wifi which would of had the same IP as my computer I assume.
But for the second account I was going to go on to safari on my iPhone and create a new account on there using 3G not wifi. Because I think when you use 3G it uses your phone networks IP address so its completely different.
But I don't have any experience with this so I don't know if that will link them. |

Then it wont work creating new windows user account for a new account on Etsy?. They will still link you from cookies?. |

| I did try and find an etsy section in the navigation menu but couldn't find it. The reason I asked in the ebay section is because I know quite a few eBay sellers also sell on etsy. If you can't help or don't have anything useful to say it's probably best you keep your comments to yourself. |

Ive never used etsy, but id imagine you would just apply stealth steps to opening a second account.
New user account on computer. Or VMware
New IP, new name & addy - i wouldnt use a friend or familys name. Especially since its going to be "risky" items.
Dont know how you can take payments on etsy, if paypal then make new account and open new bank (sort & acc num) needed.

| Thanks for the tips. The thing I'm struggling with is you add your credit card to your etsy and receive payments directly to your bank so I don't know if etsy have access to seeing your card details. I also don't know what address to put in because I don't want to use a family members. The items aren't really risky they're just not hand made and thats against etsy rules. |

Other auction sites -> Etsy Discussion.
Difficult wasn't it.
You have a life doomed to failure if you can't even carry out a simple task and follow the rules. If you found it such a struggle then you are indeed set to endure a life of mediocre. Or maybe you were just too damn, lazy, to which you are still set for a life of mediocre.
If you want to ask an etsy question you post it in the etsy section. You have 98 posts on here so no excuses for acting so dumb. |

If you follow the stealth rules strictly they will work just fine with Etsy.
Don't list 'risky' items, keep your nose clean, be a good boy and everything will work out just fine. |

| haha a good girl! It's not really risky items, but etsy are strict on everything being handmade. Some of my items aren't handmade but could pass as handmade. I've saw people writing that stealth accounts on etsy are much harder to create and maintain for some reason, I would of expected otherwise. |

If you really don't want to get your accounts linked you should be vary careful
1- Don't use ever the same computer install VMware
2- Don't ever use the same images on different accounts.
3- If your products are not made you will be banned in few days.
4- You can use the same paypal account but always make sure to use a different email for each account.
Competition on etsy always report sellers if they see you are selling none handmade items.
iF one of your accounts gets banned and then you use the images from the banned account will be 100% sure you will get your accounts banned. |

| I'm getting a new computer in a few days so I will create my new account using that and hopefully I won't get linked. |
