Issues with Stealth and Buyer Resolution?
 

Hi guys,

Can opening cases in the Resolution Center as a buyer (Item not Received, Not as Described, etc) ever prompt eBay to ask you for ID verification? It would seem to me that they would only really care about seller account things, like the ID Verification prompt when requesting higher selling limits, but thought I would pose the question anyhow.

Why would you open a case? It sounds like you plan on using your stealth account to scam people. If you just contact the seller you will peacefully reach a resolution 95% of the time.

But no they won't ask for your ID for that.

I'm not trying to scam people. I would open a case if contacting the seller did not successfully resolve the situation.

they aren't going to ask you for id.. if you have a problem with an item, the seller will usually resolve it.

Always ask the seller first. This forum is full of people who were unfairly banned because buyers decided to open cases first and ask questions later.
