Sure, why not? Actually, I am a former smoker and the smell gets to me. A couple months after I quit, I had to have the entire house repainted and new carpet installed. I also had to get rid of a couch, but it was about dead anyway. My cats are much happier and I don't want to pay to replace everything again.

Thanks for the compliment. I was the Analytics and Strategies Director at a 400 person law firm. So, while I am not an attorney, I learned something about the law in my 13 years there. I became close friends with two of the attorney's and we always went to lunch together. So I heard them talking about their cases and when I didn't understand something, I asked questions. I have always been like that. You live and learn. Just long enough to know how to rule the world and then you die...

My sales are up for this time vs last year. I love this time of the year. Its a mini Christmas for me.

I get to make some extra funds to fix up that apartment that some couple messed up when the a-holes left last month.

I might need to take them to small claims court for damages but that takes time.

Great thread. I can only speak for US Stealth but ever since the hard 200/20k went into effect 3-4 years ago it made stealth much more difficult having to boost the number of accounts for sellers like myself.

You have to be very dedicated and in most cases for US Stealthers that weren't around before the learning curve is very high.

Is stealth dying? You mean is the process/method of having a stealth account dying? Where would one come up with such idea? For stealth to die you would need a big change in eBay or Paypal policies, something that would kill part of stealth of make it impossible to have multiple stealth accounts- Terms&Condition would have to change or something rather huge would need to take place.

If your business is slow and you are not generating same numbers as you did before, then its probably down to you as an individual and not stealth as such? If you say "perhaps I have a destructive business model" then I'm pretty sure you know yourself that you are either taking risks where you shouldn't or you indeed undertand that your account/stealth operation will not stand the test of time.

I've just hit my 1 year mark, whoop-whoop, and I've not lost a single account and never had any problems with limitations, money being held or other "problems" that some users report.
I spread the sales, follow the good practices of stealth and read the forums every day to keep myself up to date and one step ahead of the problems. Some people might sell more than me, some people might sell less than me but there are threads out there where you can learn bits and pieces from everybody- From good practices of the small time sellers, to "what to avoid" when it comes to higher sales numbers and risk management.

I suggest you read a bit and analyze where your accounts are suffering the most and perhaps find a way to work around the problem so that you wouldn't get limited as much.

Its a marathon, not a sprint.

By all means it is on life support. Those who wish to come back to life make it, those who can't handle it quit and die. Its pretty simple.

Yea I usually have to pitch the accounts when they hit aroud 120 feedback. ONly one has a EIN attach to it.

Stealth works great for me and my sales are fine. You may want to look at your business strategy.

It takes some time to master "stealth" methods. I have been selling on eBay for more than 10 years, left for a few years and came back a few years ago.

By no means am I a master "stealther", but I know enough to run multiple accounts and keep moving items and with decent profits. I am still learning and trying to make my business model more efficient everyday. You have to strive for continuous improvement if you want to prevail. The games daily.

Bottom line is, don't give up on Stealth so easily. Browse the forum and learn as much as you can. There are some very intelligent people on here!

Newsflash about the phone you had on file...
"This phone is not in your name."

Sorry, we could not verify your account. ;)

Same with me I have one main account with an EIN I have been running since the Law came into effect. Been having to baby my other stealth accounts keeping records/projections with spreadsheets to make sure I stay well below that 200 transaction threshold. It really is a pain but the stealth accounts really do help. My stealth accounts have mostly become a dumping ground for items I don't want listed on my main account.
