We've noticed that your account appears to be associated with another.

So I just received this message on my primary account. This is a legit account that I have had since 1999. Now, six months ago, when I registered for the secondary account (this was before I knew better!), ebay immediately spotted that I had two accounts and asked me to verify that. I went ahead and acknowledged that both accounts are mine.

Now, I went and got my secondary account banned from selling. I immediately was banned on my primary account.

Then I get the following message sent to my primary account:

Hello, PRIMARYACCOUNT

We've noticed that your account appears to be associated with another.

Are you familiar with the account SECONDARYACCOUNT

I'm the owner of this account.
I'm not the owner of this account, but I may be able to explain why my account has been associated with it.
I don't know this account at all.

Is there any way at all I can talk my way out of this and get my primary account unbanned? Any chance if I come clean with ebay about the secondary account? (I thought they already knew...) Or, should I attempt to lie and claim that someone else used the info?

Can confirm from early experience. You're completely, totally, without exception screwed. When you look up 'screwed' in the dictionary it has your picture... you get the idea.

If you do talk to them they'll pump you for info knowing you're going to be extra cooperative because you're desperate, and the more info they get the easier it will be for them to hunt you down like a dog and kill any new accounts you create.

Cut your losses, learn from the forums here, and start new.
