Is Saturday counted as a business day on eBay
 

Hi everyone,

Is Saturday counted as a business day on eBay?

I have stock coming Monday.

I want to list my stock up this evening but I need to know if eBay count Saturdays as a business day.

If they do and I list up my items this evening and a customer receives a parcel a day later then delivery scheduled on eBay then it will be recorded on my seller dashboard something I dont want to happen.

If Sturday's not a business day then I can list my items up tonight :)

What if the delivery doesn't come Monday? Is it not worth waiting until you have the stock in your possession before listing? Ive been eager like this before myself, listed everything and even though the delivery said scheduled for whatever day it came a few days later and I had to message a few folk when their delivery was going to be late. Save yourself a headache, just wait its only a couple of days.

Same as what Mao said, don't trust deliveries. Sods law rules over everything.

But there is nothing to stop you setting up drafts or templates or scheduled listings while you wait :)

Yeah I agree with the others. Saturday is not counted as a business day, but you still need to consider shipping delays. You never know when an order will be subjected to an ad hoc examination which can delay delivery several days to several weeks.

One time I thought an order was coming the next day so I listed everything the day before. The next day I got AN order but not the one I was expecting. My supplier had mixed up the tracking numbers because I had multiple orders with them. So I ended up taking massive losses on about 50 orders, because I had to drop-ship what I was selling from other eBay sellers. My price was better than anyone else on eBay at the time so there was no possible was for me to profit. I didn't want to get suspended though so I did what I had to do.

Just don't do it. It's really not worth the headache if something happens with the order you're expecting.

If you insist on listing before you have stock then simply add a few days on to your dispatch times to cover yourself.

No, eBay do not count Saturday as a business/working day. An example, if you list an item tonight with a 1 working day postal service and 1 working day dispatch time, the estimated delivery time when purchased would be Tuesday for the buyer.

This is what I love about this forum as I listen to peoples advice. If I did not put this thread up then I would of listed my stock tonight but now after hearing all the responses I am going to be patient and wait till my stock is delivered.

I like Trump. I would like to think he is the Worlds only chance to get rid of that crackpot despot PingPongPoo and liberate his poor subjects before the nutter sends some weird nuke/chem/gas stuff to various corners of the globe.
