purchase an item from yourself (as in from one stealth account to another) to generate some positive feedback on a new account?

Not as like a regular thing, but as a one off. Or on rare occasions?

If done correctly it can work, but it will always have risk

Better to just throw on £1 items with next day free delivery and sell that way even if you make a slight loss on each item you sell

It was just an idea that came to me when I realized I needed to take a listing down, I figured for a small cost (PP&EB fee) I could get a feedback on it. Obviously will make sure I do things right :) thanks guys

All pretty pointless.

Risk definitely outweighs reward.

What difference is one extra feedback going to make to your account in the medium or long term?

However the prospect of having a possible future link to another account, or at least the possibility of confirming other links to an account, means this is something that really shouldn't be recommended.

You may think it is nothing now, but in the future this could be the final nail that takes down two stealths.:rip:

Well I considered this, but I thought that as long as there were no visible links, it would look less suspicious to sell one full price item than the suggestion of selling lots of low cost free shipping items?

Once in a while i'll do it just to get the account going. Not had any problems...yet.

It can work, but you need to be real careful about doing it. It is good for a quickie for some initial feedback to get the ball rolling.

One of the many ways to burn your account. Has been discussed in the forum in the past, really not a good idea.

Why are sellers not willing to get sellers feedback the easyest way... by selling?

Yer Fiver is a bad bad idea

Its a very good way to get your account limited.

Yea i can imagine once one of these buyer get tracked, all the sellers who have been given feedback will have there accounts limited, as stated above just start with a low listing item with free P&P, If the item goes cheap it's the best way to get good feedback.

Oh I'm willing to wait, for me the cheap free delivery items are a waste of my time, I'm in no rush. As I said for me I had to take a listing down, I just thought "hey! two birds one stone maybe?"

Its just not really worth the risk long term

You have to decide if loosing an account (even if that is unlikely) is worth that 1 extra sellers feedback?

I would say it depends on my confidence in my stealth abilities. But you are right, for the sake of 1 feed back I'm in no hurry. Looking at my stealth accounts I've seen that arranging it to be successfully 100% unlinked at this time is more hassle than its worth.

My comment was for the Fiverr suggestion which I think it is a really bad idea.
As I have been told in here when I joined a few years back, stealth is about patience, method and control... this is 99% of the work.

Just sell stuff at a loss.... Plus you will get great feedback... Don't sell something that is junky or will break easily...

Two dollar bills always a good sell if you can get some....

It doesn't really matter if it does not match everything else you sell

Besides you can find lots of cheap arty stuff that can also be sold

Have you thought about join Amazon Handmade? they are looking for people in curtain sections others they say will be available shortly. I'm keeping an eye on it.. Clothing is my speciality.

mine too hun, and I signed up for amazon handmade a while ago, but alas our section was not ready yet, I've not heard anything on it since.

So basically you are saying you can't be arsed to make sure your accounts are not linked to each other?

I think what he is actually saying is that all the time and work that would go into creating another account to buy the item in question from the account in question is not worth the 1 sellers feedback he would gain
