theres usually a red number next to some sellers items that says the amount sold...like "257+sold" etc

Go to the listing and do a 'sell similar'. If you
change the title around it should appear as a new item
and the old 'sold' will fall off.

It just does that when you have a "top selling product"

You have to be selling a lot from a listing for the sold count to show up in red.

Doesn't have to be a top selling product as I see, needs a certain amount of transactions within a short time.

Like your old listings with few transactions won't be red.
