Old ebay account only used for shopping.

So I register an account in 2013, I used only for shopping like 5 items max, and recently found its credentials.

Here's the question: Could it be used for selling or will I have to go through the same limits as a newbie account.

What's your thought on this?

Even if the account was made the first day Ebay opened up, it would still be considered new to selling. Don't know about the limits but your account is still considered new when it comes to selling.

Should have low limits.

You will need to pamper this and make money!

Nice find.

eBay and Paypal work with patterns, if you stop selling for like a few years, ebay/paypal reset and will treat you like a noob.

My thoughts on this mirror the above posts, however I have found that eBay goes a little easier on 'seller accounts' that started as 'buyer accounts'. I have also noticed that older accounts tend to do better than newly created accounts. This is only a general observation.

Hopefully the account will have a little more credibility with eBay compared to a completely fresh account but I would still proceed with caution and treat it like a new account. Unfortunately you are still going to have to jump through all the same hoops as any other new seller on eBay.

If you ship your items the same day and use free shipping that may help, on my new stealth Paypal only holds my money for 1 week after its delivered, if that. Idk though, could also depend on how much money you're getting.
