Multiple Stealth Users on Same Network

Hi,

I've been running a stealth account for over 2 years now, no issues, power seller etc.. I run this account at my office on my laptop.

I've come to learn there is another person at my office whom is running stealth on his machine; he is running on a windows and i am on a mac, so two completely different platforms. Unfortunate part is that we are on the same external IP at the office.

Should I consider this account in jeopardy and or "linked" because we are sharing the same IP?

Any info is appreciated.

Are you both subscribers to aspkin? If so, what a coincidence!

Yea you are linked in IPs no doubt about that but I have tested time and time again, that eBay/Paypal needs more than IP (ie. cookies) to mix for a stronger confirmation that you are managing 2 accounts.

They won't link accounts based solely on IP, there would need to be some other shared detail. Reason being is public Wifi, cellular internet, etc.. There are lots of ways two legitimately separate eBay sellers could be using the same IP.

You're safe..

From what he told me, he just went to name generator etc; from his "method" he will be burned really quick..

Cookies, etc are moot, completely separate machines and platforms..

I'm sure that this has come up before and quite frankly i could not believe they would "link" over an IP alone.. Lots of large companies out there with users on eBay..

I run my main account off my mac, then have a VM with Win 7 and Windows 2008 server for other accounts; I like to mix up the platforms as well.

As long as the IP block isn't blacklisted like the IP's from most abused VPN's you are fine.
