First Stealth Sale - Shipping?

I just sold my first item under my new stealth account and the buyer immediately paid. I read on this site that the shipping expense can come out of the pending funds (I remember doing this years ago with my original account). However, the shipping page reads the following under the "Purchase Postage" button:

Sign up for the Billing Agreement to skip login in the future and automatically use your PayPal balance to pay for shipping labels.

I just want to be extra careful since it doesn't explicitly say the funds will be taken from the pending payment... my concern is that, with a $0 balance, PayPal might try to dip into my bank account and boom - banned. Can I go ahead and click "Purchase Postage" with my current balance at $0.00?

If there's money in the credit card, it will charge the credit card, if there's not enough money in there, it will give you an error page, after that, you can go back to the shipping labels page, and then the pay later button will appear.

I just did this and it took the money from my bank account, which is exactly what I was worried would happen. Is this account done for?

In my experience, nothing would happen, hopefully there's enough money in your bank account so no overdraft charges. Go to try and print the label again, but don't actually print it and see if the pay later button is there.

Sign up for the agreement. log out of eBay...log back in. Try to print. Pay later option was there for me.

It worked, but I'm worried that the damage is already done. Isn't it important to not send payments through the bank account because it gives eBay access to the name on the account?

I don't think there is any way for eBay/Paypal to see the bank users name, if so, we are all in trouble. lol 🤔

I was under the impression that the only way they'd see the name is if you slip up and let your PayPal balance hit zero and make a payment through your bank account... is that wrong?

No, that's right. But I don't know of anyone being shut down because Paypal saw the bank account owner's name. The account would have to already be in some serious trouble for it to be shut down for that reason.

You should be safe, just don't make a habit of letting P/P touch your bank accounts.
