Packages Disappeared
 

May be a little off-topic but wanted to get some advice..

I've never had an issue before in packages disappearing from my porch area - well shielded from street view. Last week I set out a number of packages for USPS to pickup, according to them only 5 packages were picked up when in fact there were 9 out there. Post office is clueless as to if they have packages and just not scanned properly.

If these were low dollar item's i would simply refund the money and call it a day, unfortunately these are large ticket items and coughing up that kind of cash isn't easy.

At any rate, Both PP and EB are registered as company names, PP has stealth individual name with a EIN.

How much trouble and grief should i expect from EB or PP.. I could care less about the account, but simply wondering what type of headaches I am in for with EB and PP.. I already closed the bank account associated with PP.

Any info is appreciated.

either the packages are gonna be late or they were stolen. be patient a few more days. hopefully they turn up.

I've had packages NOT scanned at my local post office, eventually they were scanned at later point. Hopefully yours will get scanned eventually IF they have not been stolen.

I've had packages not scanned until the delivery scan.

I've also had packages never scanned, but delivered.

I ship 99% first class mail though, I'd think it's hard to miss a scan on an actual parcel(as opposed to bubble mailer)

What should give you some hope is that some of them were scanned in. Like one other member mentioned I have dropped off packages before and they didn't scan for days then all of a sudden they show at the buyers local facilty and are delivered. First Class seems to worse than Priority.

I also use to leave packages for pick up for several years without problems. One day I had 15 packages stolen. It cost me like $400, having to refund buyers who got really bitchy not believing what really happened.

I only hand give packages now to my USPS driver or drop them off at the counter at some post offices or the USPS Drop Boxes where they have them.

I've had packages scanned as delivered a day early and then they eventually show up a day later.

If they do not show then, then I would be alarmed.

Well, I am leaning towards them being stolen.. this is allot of money at hand at well; never had this happen before since starting in the online world.
I already have 2 open cases for not received; going to contact the police and cross my fingers they will make a report (They aren't the greatest at these things).

Now I'm preparing for the backlash of eBay and Paypal, not sure how they will handle it, especially since i cannot repay it.

Anyone know what i may expect from EB or PP?

Their scanning system has allot to be desired. I've also had weird tracking information, going from the basic "info received" to "out for delivery" 3 days later yet nothing in-between..

I guess all i can do is see what the fallout will be with EB and PP.
