Shipping items in letter envelopes?

Do you guys happen to know if this is possible?
I want to ship out usb cables for iphone to really build up feedback, but I would like to know if anyone has experience shipping this way?
I am losing too much money with a padded envelope, at least with letter envelopes I would only be losing 50 cents/envelope.
Thanks

50 cents for an envelope is highway robbery. i get bubble mailers for roughly 10 cents each and thats kinda high.

You won't be able to, I've tried this before. The post office sees it as a thick envelope and will charge u the padded rate, not like a flat letter envelope.

Re: Shipping items in letter envelopes?

I get the poly 4x6 or 4x8 #000 bubble mailers on Amz, I get 1000 at a time for around $60. They would work perfectly for cables.

Regular envelopes won't work, they'll be too fat, and the cables will burst out of them, most of the post offices have a little board with a slot in it, if it won't go through they'll require an upgrade.

So at 3 ounces it'll cost you $2.54, and 4-8 ounces, $2.60.

Not to mention the fact that the items will get damaged, and customers will leave negative feedback because of how cheap and unprofessional it looks.

You beat me to it, if I received my cables in a letter envelop.....and they were broken.....instant neg! It shows the seller is unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Even if they weren't broken....it's so sloppy...padded envelopes can be purchased for under 10 cents each. If you can't profit with a 10 cent envelope, you need to look for a different product.

Something for the OP to consider....

Why are you sweating on feedback?

Do a search of feedback....

Many interesting posts about the topic...

I spend about 1 euro to get 1 feedback when i start selling - I send everything in well packed envelopes with lots of bubbles, and send tracked. No cheap ways to build a solid account...

I dont understand how these sellers from china are selling them for 0.75/unit WITH free shipping?
The cost of shipping alone is higher than 0.75 for these?
i am assuming they use their own private courier?

As I have said before, The Chinese Sellers can get them far cheaper than you can....their in China. Also, a lot of these Chinese Sellers are willing to lose $$ just so they can get feedback.

1. There is a difference in economies. You have to earn five times as much here to get by financially.

2. The Chinese government subsidizes shipping.

3. eBay and USPS brokered a trilateral ePacket agreement with China Post that gives China bulk shipping rates (which apply to individual packages as well) at a rate far below what we have to pay and which INCLUDES tracking to the U.S. destination and which does NOT require China to offer reciprocal tracking

Look into DIGITAL goods for feedback....and no, not "photos" or "ebooks".

I'm not going to say anymore.

lol clearly I said no photos.

I'll give one more clue. The stuff you sell needs to have an actual function, something a buyer would want. Perhaps you could send them a hard copy, but you could also send it digitally.

Nothing obvious like eBooks though....

That's all I'll say. I'm not giving away all my secrets.

Wake up and read between the lines.

To do stealth, you have to open your eyes wide.

You are swearing on feedback & its costs.

Have you yet looked at maybe not going for feedback?

Read posts by MM78 & yankee.

They offer other options.

Look for a path where you can smooth nurture new stealth accounts.

Always look for viable options.

Oh I KNOW you were being sarcastic.

My clarification was for some of the less gifted members....(you won't believe the PM's I get asking for details on somethings I was explicit about in a post) :noidea:
