How much is a 5 year old eBay Account worth?
 

I have about three 5 year old eBay accounts with no selling history or feedback and was wondering how much are they worth? I haven't been active in the eBay or Amazon scene for sometime :), Any comments are appreciated! Thank you.

You should be careful on how you word things....Admins may think your trying to sell accounts, if you are....your thread is going to disappear.

Aaahhh.. I didn't think of that! I am not trying to sell the accounts :), just wondering on the value... I have been here for almost 6 years so I know I cannot sell accounts :) Thank you!

With no selling history it has no more value than brand new account. I got dozens of unused eBays sitting on the sidelines from years ago.

The only thing that gives any account value is the person who created it IMO.

your 5 year old with no account activity is like a tissue paper.

You have accounts that you created 5 years ago, but they are Brand New Selling Accounts and come with all limitations that new accounts come with, so they have no value.

Its always good to create accounts and list the first item when you create the account. If you would of sold say 50 8.5X5.5 postage labels for $4.99 , when you created the account 5 years ago and than left them dormant, you would of than had decent selling accounts with a first sale date 5 years ago. That tiny sale would of made them great accounts for you to start selling on again and with some quick sales holds would be lifted if not already lifted.

Just take your time with them, and treat them like any new selling account

True - the lack of activity has kept it "brand new"...

Frankly I'd be a lot more nervous taking over a selling account previously run by another seller, than I am buying a fresh account. There's just too many obstacles..
