Shipping small items under $2.45

Hello. I'm trying to figure out if there is a shipping method to ship small items for less than $2.45.

I currently have a few listings up for usb cables and to ship them out, I use first class shipping through USPS with 2 oz weight and it costs me $2.45 - $2.54.
Is there a way to ship this item for less than that? Would really help if someone could share that with me.

You cant....unless your manually role up the usb cable and put it in a letter envelope and make sure its no thicker than 1/4 inch...which is a pain in the ass.

How much would it be without tracking?
& How long would it take for the package to arrive?

Stamps or go to your post office and buy the service. You cant print said service online.

It is first class mail still but impossible to track or prove delivery.

1.15, same delivery time, package can't be over 3/4", and bubble mailers won't be accepted at that rate most of the time.

We discussed this before....this is a bad strategy. Your cables are going to get torn up, and then you're going to get negative feedback.

If you were selling low value decals and stickers, the super cheap letter mail is fine with a thin cardboard insert to make sure it does not get bent or destroyed. Anything else then a really high risk the envelope gets tore open and the items damaged or lost all together.

I hope this does not come across rough, but why sell an item with no profit? I would consider finding items worth your time selling. At least a couple dollars profit per item.

Can't be done. In today's world you have to have tracking, without it you're doomed. And there's no tracking for less than $2.45.

In any case why sell cables, the market's over saturated with shoddy usb's, cables, phone cases, 'game activation keys' and other cr*p.

China's got a lock on these products, you're going to get crushed like a bug if you try to complete, as you've already discovered, which is why you're looking for ways to ship cheaper/

I ordered a small item under $2.50 shipped... the seller sent out another item after the first got lost in the mail... roughly 30 days later both arrived on the exact same day. At the best... it will be non-machinable and cause all kinds of delays. At the worst, it will get stuck in a machine and not delievered, or your buyer will claim it wasn't delievered for a refund.

I own a few phone/electronic repair stores and have tons and tons of usb cables. They don't sell 1000 a week or anything, but using good keywords, and with the help of new promoted listing option eBay started, I'm able to sell enough to where it's definitely a profitable item. I was just wondering if there was something I was missing as far as shipping in a thick envelope but not having tracking is a big deal. I can see that turning into a bunch of negative feedbacks

Sounds like you have a bi-product that needs to be stocked and turned anyways. That is exactly what I did when I had retail stores. It also greatly increased my buying power and added a lot of profit to my stores.
Good job!
